Chicken Parmesan
A classic pasta dish with breaded chicken breasts smothered in cheese and tomato sauce
Ingredients
- 4 8 oz chicken breast, boneless, skinless
- 2 Tbsp garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp onion powder
- 2 Tbsp italian seasoning
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 Cup heavy cream
- 2 Cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 Cup olive oil
- 8 oz Parmesan cheese
- 8 oz mozzarella, shredded
- Tomato sauce
- Tri color pasta
Cooking Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. In a shallow dish whisk together egg and cream. Place bread crumbs on a plate.
- In a large skillet heat olive oil over medium heat. Dip chicken in egg mixture, then dredge in bread crumbs to coat. Brown chicken on both sides in hot skillet. Place browned chicken in a baking dish. Bake uncovered, for 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle cheeses over chicken and cover with Tomato Sauce. Bake for 5 minutes more or until cheese melts. Serve with Tri-Color Pasta.
- Note: The bread crumbs can be seasoned with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
