Holiday Cornish Hen

Cornish game hens seasoned with a delightful mixture of herbs and spices and roasted to perfection. Perfect for any holiday



  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 4 cornish game hens
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt 
  • Black pepper
  • Wild Rice

Cooking Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. In a small bowl combine salt, garlic salt, cayenne pepper, rosemary, garlic, and thyme. Set spice blend aside. 
  2. Rinse cornish hens under cold water. Season hens with spice blend, rubbing spices all over hens. Set aside.
  3. In a roasting pan heat olive oil over medium heat. Place hens in pan and sprinkle with additional salt and black pepper. Sear hens on all sides until golden brown. Transfer pan to oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until temperature in thigh muscle registers 160 F. Serve with Wild Rice.
