Meat Lovers Stew

A hearty dish with steak, lamb, chicken, sausage, and tons of herbs and vegetables.

  • ¼ cup olive oil 
  • 2 tablespoons chopped shallots
  • 3 tablespoons chopped garlic
  • ½ pound boneless chicken sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • ½ pound steak cubed
  • ½ pound lamb
  • 2 large potatoes cubed
  • 3 tablespoons curry powder
  • 3 carrots chopped
  • 2 zucchini sliced
  • 1 yellow pepper diced
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • ½ pound Italian sausage sliced
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 cup grape tomatoes cut in halves 
  • 8 ounces green peas (fresh or frozen)

Cooking Steps

  1. In a large pot heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken, garlic, shallot, 1/2 teaspoon of the salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of the black pepper. Stir until chicken starts to brown
  2. Add steak, lamb, potato, and curry powder; mix well. Add carrot, zucchini, yellow pepper, and onion; stir. Stir in sausage, garlic, the remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Pour in water, wine, and beef stock; stir.
  3. Bring to a simmer. Add grape tomato halves and peas. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Stir and let sit for 5 minutes.
