The hospitality industry is a trillion dollar service sector within the global economy. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the hospitality industry is facing workforce challenges, as it historically recruited from the youth labor pool to meet workforce needs. Recently, however, the industry has been left with an insufficient number of new workers to satisfy demand, and wants to increase its recruitment efforts towards youth. One key challenge is that hospitality careers, like other service sectors, are often stereotyped as low-wage and entry-level with little opportunity for advancement. Consequently, qualified workers, especially youth, may be unaware of the diverse hospitality careers available.


Chef G. Garvin’s Culinary Boot Camp wants to show youth that there is a menu of career options available in the hospitality industry. Our goal is to help youth cook up a recipe for success, but we need your help to do it! Here’s how you can help:
  1. Donate in-kind food, materials and supplies needed for training services.
  2. Make a cash contribution of $50,000 per city location to help offset the costs of event expenses.

  3.
