World-renowned celebrity Chef Gerry Garvin has developed a unique mentoring project entitled Chef G. Garvin's Culinary Boot Camp. This exciting project will focus on transforming inner city youth into successful corporate and community leaders in the hospitality industry. Slicing, dicing and learning to prepare meals that are enticing will all be part of the menu, as inner city youth are put on the chopping block to learn to cook in five days.

* All applicants are required to write a narrative on why they are interested in participating in the program. The applications will then be viewed by the Hospitality Committee. The chosen applicants will be notified four to six weeks prior to the start of the program. The cost for each applicant is free of charge (pending corporate support and sponsorship) and will include lodging, meals, and all hands-on training tools and presentations.
